management through a unique
paradigm. While you lose weight,
we teach you the skills needed
for long-term weight control and
support you through the process.
Greenlight emphasizes a
scientifically-based approach
built around YOU and YOUR specific needs. With our help,
you will understand and be able
to practice the concepts needed
to lose weight and keep it off
for good.
Weight loss and weight
management are very complex
issues that need to be addressed
from Biological, Psychological,
and Social perspectives. Our
intensive program helps make
these issues make sense to you.
The Greenlight Program includes
1. IOP- Intensive Outpatient
Program:
Greenlight members meet in a
group setting of no more than
seven individuals per group for
2 ½ hours each week. The IOP
group meets for eight
consecutive weeks. In addition,
IOP members meet individually
with a behavioral coach for
20-30 minutes each week.
The IOP consists of a teaching
component, skill building
exercises, check-ins, and a
supermarket tour to help group
members reach their goal of
long-term weight control. Our
data shows that, on average,
participants who have completed
the IOP are maintaining a
40-pound weight loss after 6
months.
2. Maintenance Groups:
Greenlight members who have
graduated from the IOP program
can continue treatment in a
group setting. By the time
Greenlight members have
completed the IOP they have been
educated about weight management
and have learned a variety of
skills to tackle life’s
challenges. The maintenance
groups were formed to fine-tune
the learned skills for each
individual.
3. Individual Treatment:
Greenlight members will receive
a 30 or 45-minute session with a
Greenlight behavioral coach.
These sessions will be
personally tailored to meet each
client’s specific needs.
